- Cut a paper sample at 100% scale.
- Check that it lies flat, stays visible, and comes out without bending.

Ask the selected printer for its current rules for trim, bleed, safe area, colour, files, stock, and finish. Trim is the finished cut edge. Bleed extends artwork beyond it. The safe area protects text, logos, URLs, and QR codes. Values differ, so do not reuse another printer's settings.
